Herb Anderson

Herb, owner of Grass Roots BMW, is an excellent rider, and enjoys carving the curves on one of his Beemers. Herb and Reno have ridden in India, Republic of South Africa, Zambia, Malawi, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina and Ukraine as well as USA, Canada and Mexico.

Prior to owning Grass Roots BMW Motorcycles, Herb was in senior management at Hannigan Motorsports and LTI and helped both companies through a period of substantial growth. Herb's riding record of three decades includes the Iron Butt Rally, the 8/48 ride, the Utah 1088, and the Alberta 2000 which he co-founded with Jan Repsch. Herb just plain out loves to ride. His newest bike is the S1000RR, a birthday present from his wife, Reno. He also enjoys his K1200S, which is all tricked out in carbon fiber.

Reno Anderson

"Reno", Herb's wife, has ridden her own bike for over 21 years, the first 13 years on two wheels and tiptoes (lowered K75) and then 5 years on a trike (R1150RT) and sidecar (K1200RS), and more recently is riding a lowered F650CS. While not as hard core as Herb, she has put more miles on a trike than anyone she knows. Reno spent seven years starting a girls high school in Malawi, Africa and has worked as a teacher, a newspaper photojournalist and editor, and a freelance writer. She has travelled to over 30 countries. Now experimenting with semi-retirement, she is still available to help Herb with special events.

Jamie Wills

Jamie joined the Grass Roots BMW team in February 2011 as General Manager and brings his 15 years in the motorcycle industry to the shop. He has been an AMA member for 20 years and bought his first street bike at age 16. In 2004 he won the AHRMA national championship and in 2010 a MOVMX championship. A few of his favorite motorcycle trips include Isle of Mann, Baja Mar Ride, and WSBK in Brands Hatch, England.

Dave Bork

Dave is a walking encyclopedia of BMW motorcycle knowledge. He can solve unusual bike problems and remembers the most obscure service bulletin. He owns several BMW motorcycles and was the very first employee of Grass Roots BMW Motorcycles. Born in Mexico, Dave speaks fluent Spanish. And when it comes to the fine details of electronics or engines. Dave takes his time to do it right.

John Simmons

John Simmons provides excellent leadership as Grass Roots' Master Technician. John is a Renaissance man - mechanic, chef extraordinaire, versatile musician with 3 CD's, Tour leader with Moto-Discovery all over Mexico, and a good story teller too. Customers come in with gifts of donuts just to hear John tell his fascinating stories.

Dave Hutson

Never completely silent, part-owner Dave loves to ride to Mexico on the spur of the moment and appreciates the fine quality of BMW motorcycles engineering. He has a fine collection of vintage BMW motorcycles. Dave also owns Hutson's Fine Furniture in Cape Girardeau.

Patricia Reid

Patty and her husband Mike are moving to Ecuador. Patty is now fully retired from Grass Roots BMW, but is being expertly replaced by Kristen Davidson, who has a long history of motorcycle dealership accounting and bookkeeping. She will help you to get financing from BMW Financial Services for the purchase of your next BMW motorcycle. (Pix coming soon).

Patrick Taylor

Pat joined Grass Roots BMW in 2008 after twenty-some years of running his own renovation business. Pat is happy to help you find the right motorcycle, helmet or apparel for riding. Totally committed to his 2004 R1200 CL, he rides to work almost every day and recently added a Hannigan Classic sidecar for the comfort of his wife. He and Donna live in Cape Girardeau with their cat, Taco, and their Schnauzer dog, Bob.

Brian Thompson

As Grass Roots BMW's Operations Manager, Brian is passionate about riding whether it is off-road or sport riding. He'll tell you all the reasons you need to have your BMW serviced at Grass Roots. Brian and his wife, Tabitha have two young daughters. He rides and races a myriad of dirt bikes.

Mike is a strong team player at Grass Roots BMW in the Service Department. His vast experience in the automotive industry make him a "natural" in this area. With a sunny disposition, Mike makes a point of making every day a "really good day"!

Josh Grebing

We are so happy to have Josh at Grass Roots BMW to take of all of your parts and shipping needs. Josh brings his parts experience and his great attitude to Grass Roots, and all business when taking care of customers. He might be quiet in nature, but he just travelled from Dallas to Cape on a motorcycle without stopping. He's taking after Herb!

Hank Becker

Hank is a very capable dirt bike mechanic who has recently joined the GR team.

Eric Keller

This is Eric's second year as Grass Root's Ebay sales and website management.
He is a senior at Southeast Missouri state university and enjoys riding his motorcycle.

Cleopatra or "Cleo"

Cleo takes her job as Official Grass Roots Greeter seriously. When she is not at Reno's side, she may be riding in Reno's sidecar. She loves kids, but is scared of skateboards and thunderstorms. She is always up for a game of tug of war. Cleo turned 4 years old on March 26, 2011.
